Muth's Roost is a great way for a family of up to 7 to explore the greater Lake Geneva, WI summer recreation area this summer.
In addition to all of the fun available for kids of all ages on Geneva Lake, the house has lots of amenities for children which make
this an easy place to stay for families, including books, games, & beach toys. It's located in Williams Bay, on the northwest side of
Lake Geneva, a village about 1/3 the size of the town of Lake Geneva & without all of the traffic & congestion that accompanies a
summer resort town that size. Muth's Roost has 3 bedrooms & sleeps 7 comfortably, 10 uncomfortably. It has 1 bathroom with
shower (no bathtub yet-working on it). The house is almost 1000 ft2 on 1 level. Every room is naturally air-conditioned with 2
windows, a ceiling fan, & a window fan. Upgrades are underway-the kitchen & bathroom are being renovated to add twice as
much space to each.
Muth's Roost is a great old fashioned lake house. It was built just before the Great Depression in 1929. The bathroom,
sunporch, & back porch were added after World War II. The back deck was constructed 10 years ago. The whole place
maintains a rustic old world charm. Sister/brother Carol/Michael Muth spent summers @ Lake Geneva at their grandparent's
summer home when they were children. When their grandmother had to sell her house on the other side of the Bay to support
herself after their grandfather passed away, they resolved to return. When both ended up working in Chicago at the same time,
they bought what has become Muth's Roost in 1990. Carol married Derek Noble (hence, a Noble Residence), who joined in the
reverie at the lake. Carol & Derek have since relocated from the greater Chicagoland area, so Muth's Roost is now available for
the summer of 2007.
The previous owners liked the area so much, they moved to Lake Geneva full-time. This house has seen many good times. We
hope they continue with you.
